Vision and Values

Bloxham Grove Academy opened in January 2024, welcoming students and staff to our new vibrant community.

We developed our vision and ethos in the first few months after opening in consultation with our community; we took into account the thoughts and feelings of all members of our community including all adults and students.

Our vision for Bloxham Grove Academy is that all students are:

  • provided with an academic provision in which the highest levels of teaching and learning are consistently delivered, and students are empowered to learn in a positive and creative environment where they can reach their full potential
  • taught, supported and encouraged by adults who understand their needs, are well qualified and respect their special needs and diversity
  • taught in an exciting, safe and stimulating learning environment which is designed specifically to meet their Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • educated in a community which demonstrates a positive ethos, inclusivity and a culture of mutual respect
  • encouraged to take risks within the parameters of a safe and nurturing environment

Together we decided that the values that mattered to us most as a community are honesty, trust, respect, belonging, kindness and resilience: these values are embedded in our school culture and are noticed by visitors who comment on the ethos and feeling of community which has been created in such a short time.

Here are a few of the many comments we have had about our school environment:

‘You and your whole team are clearly living your and the Trust values, and it was such a positive experience for me to see your team, and me, being able to work together for the best interests of your students.’ A member of The Gallery Trust’s Central Services Team

‘Just a huge thank you for today! We were made to feel so welcome by your staff.’ Researcher from Oxford University

Just to say thank you for allowing me to join you on Friday.  Many congratulations to you and your staff for organising and delivering a lovely event for pupils and their families.  Such a lovely way to end their first year in the school.   I hope you all have a good day in mufti tomorrow and then have a jolly good break.‘ Trustee

‘I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you and Bloxham Grove for welcoming me and making me feel a part of the team. I have gained so much from my short time with you and think that the school is amazing and has so much potential to grow. I have built some lovely relationships with both staff and pupils. I do hope that I can come and visit again soon and promised Miró that I would.’ Trainee teacher on a week’s placement with us

‘Well done to all the Bloxham Grove team. The school is a ‘warm’ and ‘nurturing’ place to be, one where it is evident that students, staff and leaders want to be. Bloxham Grove Academy is on the beginning of a very exciting journey and the trust is exceptionally proud of everything you have achieved so far.’ Kay Willett MBE – The Gallery Trust’s CEO
