Safeguarding

Bloxham Grove Academy aims to provide a safe, caring and positive environment for our community, one that promotes social, physical and moral development of the individual and where students can learn and develop.

The safety and welfare of our students is paramount. We recognise that our staff, Local Academy Board (LAB) members and trustees have a full and active part to play in protecting our young people from harm. We work alongside other agencies to ensure that our systems and intervention adequately support students to keep them safe. Safer recruitment procedures are followed for staff who are vetted through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), they undertake regular training to help identify and raise concerns supporting students to keep them safe.

Our Safeguarding Team

We have a dedicated team of six staff members who have all undergone extended safeguarding training. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is also qualified to deliver generalist safeguarding training to all staff. If you have any concerns regarding the safeguarding of our students and/or wider community please contact the academy on 01295 793125 and ask to speak with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or in their absence, the  Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
