Admissions & Transitions

Please contact us on our main phone number or via email at office@bloxhamgroveacademy.co.uk if you are interested in talking to us about admissions.

We host visits to the academy for any prospective families – these are run throughout the year at scheduled times. Please note that we only offer visits during these scheduled events and, due to the needs of our students, we do not host visits in the school day.

Admissions

Admissions to Bloxham Grove Academy are managed in accordance with Oxfordshire County Council’s admissions processes for special schools. For students who have an Oxfordshire EHCP, the process is instigated through the child’s EHCP Annual Review. For students from other authorities, the process is also initiated in the student’s EHCP Annual Review and the home authority should send any admissions requests to the Oxfordshire County Council SEND Team.

All consultations must be sent via the local authority to consultations@bloxhamgroveacademy.co.uk

For any local authorities enquiring about placements please also copy consultations to Oxfordshire County Council at sennorthteam@oxfordshire.gov.uk

Transitions

Once a student’s place has been secured, we offer at least two opportunities for transition visits. These are arranged with the student’s feeder school and we ask that a known member of staff joins the visits to ensure they are successful. We also offer a parents’ evening to welcome all new families.
