Partnership Working
Partnership working is very important to us at Bloxham Grove Academy
We work closely with different groups of people including families and other professionals who are external to the school.
Working with Families
At Bloxham Grove Academy we believe that having secure key relationships are fundamental to the well-being, cognition and learning of each child.
We aim to create and sustain trusting relationships between children, parents and carers. Engaging families as equal, active partners helps maintain these relationships. We pride ourselves on being a warm, friendly and accessible school. We enjoy working with parents and carers to provide the best possible learning experience for our students. Using their knowledge and experience helps us to personalise the approach to learning with each student.
We have many positive comments from parents – here are just a few of them!
‘I want to express how grateful we are to Bloxham grove and your fantastic team. My son has settled so well, he is excited every morning to come to school and even when he’s had a tough day it’s not affected him wanting to come back. His learning is amazing, at the weekend he was cutting out some small jumps and the fine motor skills he has developed to enable him to do this was amazing. His writing, love of craft and cooking have all astounded us. We are so thankful to you all for helping him, he just seems to have found his place and is a much happier and content boy for it so thank you.’
‘I just wanted to thank you this is the first annual review that I’ve not come out crying or that feeling of dread, instead I’ve come out feeling joy and pride you all are amazing for what you do for my daughter and everyone at BGA’
‘I just emailing you to wish you all a very happy Christmas and thank you for making this first half term very smooth. I’ve seen a difference in my daughter already she is much more confident more happy and settled and she is in the place that she’s needed to be in for a considerable amount of time.’
This academic year we have put together a schedule of events for parents to help our partnership working; this includes formal parents’ evenings, six targeted parents workshops and informal parent coffee mornings. Please download the schedule here.
The next parent event is our Parent Workshop: Restorative Approaches which is on Wednesday, 4 December between 5.00 and 6.00 – this event is led by Charlotte Roberts, Head Teacher
